Looking for a chance to give? We invite you to enjoy a fascinating, once in a lifetime volunteer experience at Hostel Kilimanjaro.

Located in the peaceful, green and welcoming village of Mbokomu, Hostel Kilimanjaro specializes in providing low-cost accommodations and a variety of volunteer experiences. At Hostel Kilimanjaro you’ll have the opportunity to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, take part in a modestly priced safari, or simply center yourself with soothing walks, yoga, or thai chi. Throughout your stay you’ll have the chance to take part in any one of a number of volunteer opportunities.

Stay a day, stay a year; the choice is yours. To help you find a meaningful volunteer position during your tenure we work with two wonderful organizations: Kilimanjaro Young Girls in Need (KYGN) and Samwels Kilipapers.org.

Hostel Kilimanjaro is friendly, safe, eco and affordable. Security is on sight, and patrols the grounds regularly; all food scraps are composted; and recycling goes to samwels conservation program. Rates are affordable, and 10% of the profits go to support the hopeful young girls of KYGN, a non-profit nursery school located at the base of Mt Kilimanjaro.
